This is a #PatternDrafting Video.

Learn How to Create a No Darts #BodiceBlock Pattern.

This method is super easy and simple.

The Horizontal Lines depict the Following Body Points

-Shoulders

-Bust Point

-Waist

-Hips

I am using a Standard formula to place  these lines on the Paper

You must draw the shoulder Line at the Edge of the Paper as the Starting Point.

Then use the Standard formula  as follows:

Shoulder Line  to Bust Point  Line   : 10 Inches

Shoulder Line  to Waist Line   : 17 Inches

Shoulder Line  to Hip Line  : 24 Inches or 25 Inches for plus size.

You still have to know your Circumferential Body Measurements for these points

-Bust

-Waist

-Hip

When you have measured yourself and gotten the circumferential measurements,

divide the measurements by 1/4 and insert  the 1/4 measurement on the the paper as shown in the Video.

For the Shoulder Point your Insert 1/2 of the Measurement of the Paper.

KEY DRAFTING FORMULAS USED IN THIS #BASICBODICEPATTERN VIDEO ARE;

Vertical lines:

Shoulder Line  to Chest Line : USE this formula (bust Circumference ÷ 6) + 1.5.

Shoulder Line  to Bust Point  Line   : 10 Inches

Shoulder Line  to Waist Line   : 17 Inches

Shoulder Line  to Hip Line  : 24 Inches or 25 Inches for plus size.

Mark 1/2 of your  shoulder on the shoulder line.

Mark 1/4 of your bust on the upper & bust point line.

Mark 1/4 of your  waist on the waist line.

Mark 1/4 of your hip on the hip line.
